Forecasting in a Hospital?

Hospitals in general have a good record of data, and also data analysts. But i don't know whether the hospitals, they really use this, because in many case s it will just stay as a forecast that is shown to a manager. It seems like if you've got a good solution and it demonstrably works, you should be able to empirically sae the advantage unless it's some very small improvement that's not worth it.
