Apophasis - The Mystical Writings of Rupert and Steve

I would actually like to see this term either done away with by scholarship or given a solid definition. But that's not going to happen. So we have to go case by case, delving into the mystical materials with open minds and really listening to our authors. I refer of course to the genre of mystical writing known as apophatic literature. Apophasis is a genre which takes many forms from the dryly philosophical type of apophasis found in the Platonists to the richly poetical as we find in medieval Christian writers.
