"I think for people to get a lactic threshold test, because it gives you permission to realize, oh, yes, ys, my heart rates up. I am tired," he says. "Over months or weeks, you're going to run so much better than overly forcing it and not enjoying it." The 36-year-old has changed his approach to strength training in recent years. He's now more religious with the plates that he does every week. And as i've got older, i can push those things fast with resistance, but i've also kind of overdid it when i was in my mid twenties just for pure performance.
