Knowing ahead of time that that's going to happen, I think is important. And even if you have already planned to spend that savings, are you going to be okay with it actually being gone? Because often after you get several months in and you haven't necessarily experienced what many people might consider to be a light at the end of the tunnel, then it will feel different.

Should you stay or should you go? If you're so stressed you feel like you can't function normally, or you feel completely misaligned with your work, or you're no longer able to have a social life, or maybe all the above... something does have to change! However, you actually have more options than simply staying or quitting.
