i often describe religion as a biocultural phenomenon, like there is like a biological aspect of religion. But it's also a cultural phenomenon, the so called social construct cliche that's tread around,. thrown around so many times. So i would love to see a study that looks at the culture first, and then maybe make a very speculative argument about what was going through ezekiel's brain. It would be extremely speculative, but at least yo've grounded it in the cultural because he's living in the cultural moment.
