The Importance of Identifying What's Convenient
I do believe people hire consultants in part because of their taste, their ability to see and like identify what's compelling. So that's the value that I bring to the whole positioning process. And when I look at the competitive landscape, what I'm looking for is I don't want to replicate the angle, the nugget, right? It does no good if they're biggest competitors saying the exact same thing or even their second biggest competitor. differentiation means you're trying to be different, tell a different story, but you also have to vis-a-vis the competition. Otherwise you sort of blur in the background.
