The Blue Stones of Stonehenge

The blue stones are volcanic tuffs from the Priscelli Hills in Pembrokeshoe. The most distinctive ones stand in two formations, they stand in a circle and then inside the sarsan horseshoe there's a blue stone horseshoe. In that inner horseshoe most of the stones are of a type wood spotted dolorite which is this dark blue stone flecked with pieces of quartz. We don't really know why exactly but they brought them all at Waitstone Hengiope.
