Corsera was a beneficiary of the effort to put all this course work on line. People who, like your saying, were a be left out of these courses. Those were the beneficiaries. What you really need is to create some kind of community with a synchronous experience that keeps people moving along at a certain pace. If we're looking for what i think would work well in the university setting, it's not to put a random person in front of a computer and say, hey, here is the entire course completed at your own pace.
