The Disadvantages of Using a Podcast for Knowledge Production

I want to sort of pick apart this notion of knowledge production versus knowledge dissemination. I think sometimes I feel that what I do on, say, Fresh Ed with interviews is much more knowledge dissemination where you're sort of taking someone's article that they've written and talking to them. But it usually always derives from some written piece and I worry that moves away from knowledge production which is creating something new and different. And part of it depends on the style of podcast, there's of course many different types of podcasts that I'll talk about them in a moment. There are also people who just who make podcasts by interviewing people, but those people they're interviewing are also there as interlocutors
