The Self and the Morality of the Self
In the transcendence of light and reason section, he makes us explicit in the luminosity of enjoyment and self forgetfulness. We don't break this attachment of the ego to the self, even though we're trying. Hegel has a very christian or buddhist take on that we are by nature extremely selfish. In fact, as hydegr would say, we are more likely to get sucked into things. To have a fully fleshed out self, you need other people.
