Getting a Feel for the Foot Sweeps in Judo
I'm more interested in a player's capacity to actually apply the technique in given situations. So I try and design practice tasks that give opportunities for players to either attune to the affordances that are available to them or again, if you're referring to information processing approach. Foot sweeps are notoriously quite difficult to time but feel the best when you time one well. It tends to play a game that's a tug of war game. You can actually start to identify and couple an appropriate action with what happens when people are making these physical responses.
