The Importance of Original Sin in Islam

In Islamic philosophy there hasn't been so much of a discourse about human beings being fundamentally severed from objective truth and we can absolutely never have any contact with things as they are. I do wonder if that's partly because in Islam one doesn't have to sort of work around the concept of original sin whereas whereas for Luther, Locke it really is a decisive factor  in their anti-platonism. says well we can never know, we don't have intuition this is basically the basis of Locke's anti- platonism.
