The Prospects for a Quantum Computer to Revolutionize AI

An algorithm called HHL, Haruha-Sadeem Lloyd that was discovered in 2008 or so. It's solving a linear system in a leel algorithmic time, exponentially faster than we could do classically. The trouble is that the solution is only represented as a quantum state. In real life, you have to measure that state. And you only get a tiny, tiny little probabilistic sample about the output when you measure it.
