The Earliest Known Fossils of Animals Are Actually From the Cambrian Period

A new find from 20 or 30 million years earlier shows there was actually a prequil. Paleontologist franki dunn analyzed an important fossil found in rock in the midlands of england. The creature has been named aurora lumina at anboria, meaning dawn lantern. It isn't quite the oldest animal fossil known, but it is the oldest that's clearly related to a large group of animals still survive to the present day.
