The Importance of Facilitating Meaningful Conversations

There is no such thing as a perfect detector. Detecting AI writing is an imperfect science and it will remain an imperfect science. But unlike contract cheating, it's not entirely clear that using these tools is immediately a breach of academic integrity. These tools are so new. And so building a tool that facilitates meaningful conversations that move us forward rather than being perceived immediately as a punitive measure is really, really important to us.
