How to Film a Podcast

I like to use a microphone because it directs my voice and projects out when someone's watching that video. Do you generally film inside your office or any thoughts on where you are when you film? I would say 90% of the time I'm in my office or in my home, but sometimes there's movement involved. Sometimes I'll open up with a hand gesture to capture that one second attention.
