Some friends said that Shanann could be controlling and Christopher was too passive, but despite their different personalities, it seemed as though they loved each other. In June 2015, Chris and Shanann filed for bankruptcy. According to biography.com, in 2014, they had a combined income of $90,000, but they had credit card debt, student loans and medical bills. They stated that their $3,000 mortgage and $600 car payments made up most of their almost $5,000 monthly expenses.
