The Conflict of Interest in Adblock Plus

Adblock plus and others do not by default block the tracking scripts. They take big bucks, mainly from Google, to let certain ads through. There's a perverse effect there that makes Google even more powerful. Meanwhile, other adblockers like Ublock are very pure. We don't whitelist for a fee. And you know who hates us the most? It's not the advertisers. Because they're at the end of this payment chain.
