The Interest in Schizophrenia in the Adolescent Brain

Schizophrenia is a psychiatric condition that's characterized by things like hearing voices and being paranoid. It usually has its first onset in late adolescence or early adulthood so I tested many hundreds of patients both in the UK during my PhD and in France during my postdoc. There was just virtually nothing out there let alone how the brain develops in teenagers who go on to develop schizophrenia or any other mental illness actually. So yeah it's been exciting and one one thing to say going back to you know the thread running through this I talk about uta fris  unfeasible risks but also benefits of taking risks with science.
