The Role of Trauma in Memory Loss
Richard: I'm also wondering about how much of memory loss specifically related to the coronavirus pandemic might be related to trauma. Is it true that trauma can go one of two ways right? Like we can deeply remember our traumas or we can completely forget them. Richard: It speaks to why forgetting can be adaptive. Right like a survival technique. Yeah because you want to be able to take lessons away but you don't want to relive the worst days of your life over and over again.
