Is There a Revolution Against Slavery in the First Century?

You don't see a revolution against the institution of slavery in the first century. If you did, that probably would have shut down the Christian movement. And then he compares it to same sex sexual relationships and says, we don't see that with same sex relationships. You just kind of see the nature of slavery slowly being gutted from the inside out. It's almost like you can almost have a somewhat of a complimentary and reading of the New Testament and still see a trajectory moving towards a time when society's ready where you can have women in full positions of teaching and authority over men.
