Do You Ever Have a Gut Check With Your Partner?
I write from a really personal place, and i wanted to make sure that after i write personal songs, that they feel universal in a way where any one can connect them on their own level. So, you know, i check myself there before i share it with any one else. And i will say, about 90 % of what i write, no one's ears hear them, because i always write from persoval place,. It starts there, without ever thinking that it was going to be for any one other.
