Speaker 3
Yeah, well, yeah, I think definitely there is more and more interest. I think at least from one of those on the climate side of things. But like you said, it's like a secondary consideration, not like, oh, this is like the main thing we need to improve in tackle. It's like, oh, this could help us in our goals, but like, it's not super important to me. And obviously there's a lot of overlaps between helping animals and reducing carbon emissions are helping biodiversity, but it's not perfect alignment. And there can be harm is especially some more animals. So yeah, I think, yeah, having more animals. People seems pretty good. Right.
Speaker 2
Yeah, I would love to see more people who come at it from different angles. I think that collective like, the rest of your voice and opinion about why it's useful to help animals, which would benefit
Speaker 3
them. What's one bit of news? You're basically grateful to hear or you're excited about you heard recently.
Speaker 2
Gosh, I'm allowed to brag.
Speaker 1
very, you know, I'm very excited about lots of developments, to be honest, in terms of like, you know, the developments that we're seeing in like these cases find no way to court. So there's some general things I'm very excited about. But there's a specific thing, you know, if I kind of go back to what advocates for animals is about and what advocates for animals is trying to achieve, we recently got nominated for an all-fum of the year. It was something like, you know, I think there are only six more terms on that list. And some of them are, you know, really big North firms. And it's a, you know, it's a very prestigious organization. Awards that, yeah, that we were nominated for. So I think we didn't win. So the
Speaker 1
were nominated by such a prestigious, you know, organization up against such impressive peers, you know, in this kind of legal sphere really brings me so much encouragement for what the future looks like. You know, that means that they would have seen and reviewed our cases and they would have seen the merit in those cases. And there would have been that kind of recognition that there's such a thing as animal law and animals have legal protections. All of those things, I think one of those things are a bit of a unique moment for lots of people. So I just felt very, you know, very proud, of course, but also very excited for what that means.
Speaker 2
I love that. I love those different ways in which even just the other nominees and hearing about it, it's just, yeah, different ways in which people are putting animals on the map, right? Amazing.
