One's life may indeed seem pointless that is if you have left no legacy and Macbeth certainly hasn't leaving only unnatural destruction in his wake before he shuffles off the mortal coil himself out of a brief candle. I think we find ourselves sorely in need of some comedy and some promise of meaning some lightness to counter the heavy weight of Macbeth after this tragedy don't we?
