The Link Between Demolitions and the G20 Summit
There is a clear link between the place where the demolitions have happened and the G20 summit. The affected parties are not able to access the judicial system of redress. Even on those occasions when they have been able to access, response from judiciary has not been adequate. And these actions in areas across the city to reclaim the land are intensifying as authorities simultaneously announce beautification plans that involve the removal of encroachments without clearly mapping this, so to speak.
