An open letter signed by tech leaders in prominent AI artificial intelligence researchers has called forAI labs and companies to immediately pause their work. Signatories like Steve Wozniak of Apple fame and Elon Musk agree risk warrants a minimum six month break from producing technology beyond GPT four. The letter adds ominously that care and forethought are necessary to ensure the safety of AI systems, but are being ignored.
