The Rise and Fall of Crisco Oil

Crisco started out as a toxic industrial food product. The same hydrogenation process used to turn cotton seed oil into a solid would also be used to create soybean oil, corn oil, canola oil and grapeseed oil. Some of them like the rapeseed contain toxins like urusic acid. They're referred to sometimes within the food industry as RBD oils, refined, bleached, and deodorized oils.
