How Does Fear of Abandonment Affect Adult Relationships?
Fear of abandonment is not necessarily a diagnosile stand alone, let's say, mental health disorder. This is considered a part of an anxiety disorder. Loss of a parent in any way can have a profound impact and create abandonment issu so that could be the death of a parent or if your parents got divorced,. A lot of times you might feel that im left and sort of the second family becomes more important than you. And i can say in my own life that i had a very emotionally absent father, and that really impacted me in my adult life.
