We were already riding horses on the left before cars came along. If you need to defend yourself against that person, your right arm is probably going to be your good arm, unless you're left-handed. So that's why we drive on the left. But there are lots of other people in the world who do drive on theLeft. In total, I think it's more countries drive on the right. Unless I'm in France and I'm driving a car, and in which case, I do have to care which side I drive on - or at least everyone else does. Number 19. It's always raining somewhere in the UK. That would just be ridiculous.
