Preaching Christ's Work at Christmas and Advent
Christmas is an amazing time to, in one sense, preach more like we should be preaching all year. But I would say, as you preach during Advent, don't disconnect that from his work. The baby in the manger came, God himself incarnate, came to do something with purpose. It wasn't just an appearance, a cameo of some celebrity. He came to achieve for us. So the nails, the spear, the cross have their place at Christmas too.
