Is There a Need to Know Grammar?
I try to teach people not phrases, because phrases are just useless really. You've got to know how to answer everything, put the things together yourself. And obviously, grammar's important, but I try and teach what I call need to know grammar. My students don't want a degree in Spanish. They just want to communicate. So they only need the grammar they need,. you know, they need grammar, but they don't need, you know, the most technical grammar to make a conversation. It starts off very simply then we do a lot of making questions and putting sentences together.
