The Ugly Part of Brexit
The bill was meant to keep children safe online, but it's been turned into a tool for breaking encryption. The way the law is being covered in the UK is different than some of the EU restrictions that we've been talking about on this show for years and years. Because of Brexit, like this is a relatively small country. I know it's like the sixth biggest economy in the world. But just the UK doesn't carry the weight of all of Europe. It just doesn't,. If this was a European regulation to break encryption, it would be a much bigger deal.
