Fast Grants - What Happened?
Fast grants was founded by myself and patrick collison early in april. We saw that a pandemic was spreading, but we realized that existing structures for supporting scientists were far too slow. To get an answer on many grant requests then, or even now, can take six to nine months. So we worked to design a process of getting money to top researchers within a number of days.
