Conservative Party

I get the feeling that some people are actually now behaving as if they're already in opposition. The next election is lost, I don't know anybody who believes that Conservatives will win the next election now on the Conservative side of the argument. There's only one department really where you can cut spending meaningfully because it covers so much of government expenditure,. But most of that is on pensions and benefits. It doesn't look as if they will be able to deliver some of the more controversial elements of Liz Tross' supply side reforms.
