Avisha: Before graphite, almost no one collected metrics or displayed it and the tools we had didn't allow you to do any kind of processing. The problem with stats day was that everyone took stats day and started using it without thinking about whether it was designed for the scale. So nowadays, it's very exciting to see all this activity around monotone where we rethink a lot of the concept and how we collect data.
