LNG, Canada - Is There a Cap on Emissions?

A lot of the play right now is around electrification, because if you can go from gas drive on the coastal liquefaction plants to electricity, obviously you can reduce the emissions. The problem on the northwest coast is that we don't have the transmission infrastructure and plates to be able to get sufficient amounts of electricity so that LNG, Canada can do that. As long as they can get the electricity to the coast and have a plan for that, getting BC hydro into the mix here should be an easy decision. All of Canada will benefit so greatly if it's built.
