We got a bit caught up and stuck about the ego in the 20 20 first century, partly because of old fraid who calse names it the ego. And i think that why, your my work in mental health teaches me this, that you don't want to have no as life falls apart an you become mentally ill. That's one of the definitions of psychosiss when you just have no ego at all, so you can't maintain the sense of difference between yourself and others.
