Bilateral Adrenal Incidentaloma
About 60% of patients, both adrenal glands are making too much aldosterone. We call it biowattor hyperposia; we still don't understand the underlying pathogenesis in most of those cases. About 30% have a unilateral aldosterone-produced nadronoma. They actually have a somatic mutation that's predisposed that patient to develop in a ald testosterone- produced nadronomas. So yes, the majority have bilateral disease which we would treat medically with a MR antagonist.
