Insurance is a way of transferring risk to another organization you pay people a monthly amount they get a whole bunch of mathematicians to do some work and decide how much that monthly amount should be in. cyber insurance is incredibly immature when it comes to other forms of insurance it's only an industry that's maybe 20 25 years old so the loss ratios which is basically every dollar that a cyber insurance policy was paid for their coverage they lost a dollar and nine cents in like 2020 and 2021 insurance company is losing money yeah cyber insurance companies losing a lot of money damn. What i see happening is what's missing is cyber insurance companies do not have access to data to accurately measure the risk of a breach successfully
