The Surreptitious Mechanisms of Power

"In order to look at the secret ways or the surreptitious mechanisms of power, he will be looking at the punitive tactics indicative of that power" The first punitive tactic is exclusion; then there's confinement: taking someone away from society without totally excluding them.
