The Development of Intelligibility
The word realizing means both that it is something we experience, but also a way in which things are being made real. We're talking about looking at history to discover the development of this grammar of intelligibility. And what you discover, Hegel said, is if you look at this history, you can see that it is going through a developmental process. So part of what we're doing is when we're trying to make sense, we're engaging in a process of differentiation and integration.
