The Importance of Assent, Desire and the Impulse to Act

We can now begin to see the interrelated nature of assent, desire and the impulse to act. I am going to address the impulse to at in future episodes. It's important now to recognize why our good intentions so often fall short of their aim. The discipline of desire helps us to stop that train of passion before it builds up a head of steam.
