The Paradox of God's Freeness

There is a lot of harsh language in Ezekiel where God says I will have no pity on the people. In chapters 16 and 23, the prophet uses the marriage metaphor, which is already found in the book of Jose. And scholars who use a feminist approach for scriptures have shown how this language can perpetuate sexualized violence. These passages need to be looked at in faith community settings in ways that do like trigger warning whenever they are brought or read in spaces.
