The Development of the Ego in Man Is a True Will of God

Jung was moving towards the same position that is intended in both the Hindu and the Buddhist philosophy about the nature of the ego. In other words, he was seeing that as Blake said, a fool who persists in his folly will become wise. The development of egoism in man is not something to be overcome or better integrated by opposition to it, but by following it.
