'It's Just a River Across'
Alex spent eight months in a field, pulling sentry duty and learning the skills of a soldier. In his whole time training, he says he only fired five shots. Alex: I feel kind of useless because we don't have like enough guns. The transition was hard. Eight months, he hadn't seen a light bulb or a flashing toilet. Now he crossed a river and everything seemed normal. It's just a small river across. And then like the life here is totally different.
