After Donald Trump won the election that year Democrats turned on social media platforms. They blamed them for allowing Russian intelligence officers to create fake accounts and spread disinformation about the election. The problem was not just the outside from sort of professional Democratic Party activists. It was also coming from inside the House because many of these in-demand engineers and designers did not believe really in the value of free speech.
