When you go into a war, you should fight the wind of war and use everything you got. And we didn't do that. The individual soldier, they were great. It was up at the McNamara at that level that screwed up the war. He had some stupid ideas, McNamara. If you don't go to a war and fight a peace field, you go all out. And like Patton said, your job is to kill more than they kill more of us. That's all."
