The Pain of Being a CTO at a Startup

A lot of times the devs don't feel that pain enough or it's not someone high enough to change it. It's more of like a low level dev kind of gets that in my experience. At first, I hired just a WordPress freelancer and he just worked on the blog and did a good job. The second time around, we hired on a WordPress agency,. We paid them quite a bit of money per year, great guys and they knew WordPress. And we just sort of kind of handed it over to them. But ultimately you're on the hook, right? You can't totally sort of wave your hands, wash your hands of responsibility for the marketing site.
