Twitter is a dual use media global weapon. On the one hand, it is absolutely a commercial space and a information sharing space. But on the other hand, it also can be used to subvert adversaries. The Obama administration yesterday confirmed it asked Twitter to remain open because it was supposed to do sort of like a system update and go offline. Many protesters have been using Twitter to spread information about rallies and to share news. It has that effect when they were sharing this so they could succeed in their revolution.
