The Tennessee Valley Authority or the TVA, it's sometimes thought of as the United States' biggest experiment with socialism. Every weekday, workers load up the trucks with ash and drive them almost 20 miles to a landfill. It's enough coal ash to is three million cubic tons enough to fill three empire state buildings or 21 football fields. The pits were leaking, sparking concerns that Memphis's water supply could be contaminated.
